Twitter sketches from over the past few weeks. Sorry there’s been so little actual new art here lately, it’s been comics and secret projects all summer! I’m back at school now so I should have cool stuff to share soon enough.

Relationship

I did this for an open assignment in my illustration class. Originally, the project was going to be a more stream of consciousness thing, but this kind of story emerged. Though I think of it as more of a portrait of of two people and their relationship (which could probably go a lot further than this).

I call them Danny and Doreen in my head.

Another oldie but goodie that’s kind of going around again. One year ago! Wow. Definitely some things I would do differently now.

Anyone interested in doing guest comics?

I’ve been considering for a little bit taking a month off (probably in December, but maybe earlier) from updating TGWFA for the sake of just generally catching up with pages and other work. While this won’t change whether I do that or not, I’m curious to see if there are any artists following me who’d be interested in doing a guest page or two to keep content going in that time!

It’s very likely the content will be up to you (with maybe just a Florida theme) and I would give you a drawing of something you like in return… but I’m just putting this out here to garner interest. Please, if it’s something you’d be interested in doing leave me a message here or in my inbox!

Thanks, pals

Finally finished my book cover for The Great Gatsby! Aside from the fill color, this was done all in colored inks—it’s a load of fun!

This is kind of going around again, I thought I might as well reblog it too. I hope to do more book stuff this semester, but first I should probably try actually reading some more books…

Wow, this comic is almost over!

When it’s finished it will be available for purchase as a PDF for those interested, but in the mean time you can catch up with the pages here for free.

I’m still dealing with my own comic-drawing related injury, but this book is a must get.
Very handy for preventing this kind of thing in the future!
